Parties last two hours. Additional time may be added depending on party package, number of guests, or Add-Ons. For example, if you pick the How Sweet It Is package with pedicures, an additional 30 minutes is added to your party. Please note the How Sweet It Is party package comes with manicures OR pedicures, but not both. Additionally, there is a Time Add-On option if you wish to extend your party by 30 minutes so that you can bring in pizza for your guests. More information in this regard can be found under Food and Add-ons in our Party Package.

Parties are typically held on Friday evenings from 4:30-6:30 pm or 5-7 pm, or Saturdays and Sundays between 10 am and 7 pm with the first party starting at 10 am, and time allotted for cleaning and set-up in between each party. Our schedule typically looks something like: Friday – 5-7 pm; Saturday – 10 am-12 pm, 1-3 pm, 4-6 pm (times can vary depending on the party packages selected). The same type of schedule is followed on Sundays or on school holidays. NOTE: If you are interested in something during the week or on a school holiday, contact us to discuss your options.

Yes! You can apply a theme to any of our party packages for no additional charge. We use the theme for the backdrop behind the table and the hairstyle on the day of your party. Our current themes include Taylor Swift, Barbie, Mermaids, Pop Star, Squishmallows, Ballerina, Hello Kitty, Fairies, Frozen, Lilo & Stitch, Unicorns, Alice in Wonderland, Cats, Sweet Treats, Princesses, Soccer, Teddy Bears, Pandas, Descendants, and Wicked; Or we have a generic backdrop available.
-
You’re welcome to bring cake or cupcakes, drinks, plates, and napkins for the last 10 to 15 minutes of your party. We’ll serve your cake/cupcakes and sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ However, please avoid bringing snacks outside of this (e.g., chips, popcorn, pretzels, Goldfish, candy, etc.). Unfortunately, they end up outside the designated food area, creating sanitation concerns near the hair and nail stations and requiring additional cleaning time. To maintain a safe and clean environment, these snacks are not permitted. If such items are brought to your party, additional cleaning fees may apply.
If you'd like to bring in pizza for your guests, we offer the option to extend your party by 30 minutes. When purchased, you bring your pizza for the start of your party and we serve it for the first 30 minutes, then clean up and begin services. Your cake/cupcakes will still be served during the final 10-15 minutes of your party.
Please let us know when booking your party if you’re interested in the Time Add-On for Food to ensure availability.

We have a small refrigerator available for your use during the party. However, please note that we do not have a freezer.

Please Note: These are just helpful tips – not requirements
This feedback is based on what we’ve seen and heard after hosting hundreds of parties over the past two years. It’s purely informational, especially for those planning a kid’s party for the first time or who are new to the area. You are absolutely not required to follow any of it—it’s just here in case it helps you save time, money or waste.
Pizza (NOTE: You’ll need to purchase the Time for Food Add-on to bring pizza for your guests. This adds 30 minutes to your party.)
Most kids rarely eat much because they’re so excited to get to the POSH fun. Two large cheese pizzas are usually more than enough unless you'd like leftovers.
Stick with simple mozzarella cheese. Fancier options like margherita often lead to confusion (“My pizza isn’t cooked,” or “Mine has green stuff on it.” These are actual quotes from our POSH kiddos.).
Ask the pizza place to double cut the slices. This is especially helpful for second slices that tend to be left after only a few bites. Smaller slices equal less waste.
If you'd like variety, consider just ordering one of your cheese pizzas with half pepperoni. A full pepperoni pizza rarely gets finished.
There are many pizza restaurants nearby, so you have your pick. However, most of our clients use E&D Pizza, which is located right up the street (200 W Main St, Avon, https://www.eanddpizzacompany.com). If you use E&D, be sure to order ahead as they’re very busy on weekends. If you have a recommendation for another pizza place to add here, let us know!
Drinks
You’d be surprised—many kids prefer water over juice.
Most popular juices: Capri Sun, Gatorade, and fruit punch.
Apple juice is a close runner-up.
If you’re able to buy smaller sized drinks, this is the way to go. The final 10-15 minutes of parties fly by and we end up dumping a ton of half-full drinks.
Cake & Cupcakes
Simpler is better. Kids usually go for vanilla with vanilla frosting.
If offering a mix, we recommend 2/3 vanilla and 1/3 chocolate. Half-and-half tends to leave vanilla-lovers without their pick.
The fancier the cupcakes, the more we end up tossing (e.g., too much frosting, lots of toppings, or unconventional flavors).
Clients bring dessert from a variety of places including:
Dom’s Creamery (located in the plaza just next door at 20 W Main St., Avon, https://domscoffee.com)
Cake Gypsy (formerly located just a few plazas down from us; now at 250 Albany Tpke, Canton, https://www.cakegypsy.com)
Crumbl Cookie of Avon – their giant cookies are a fun cupcake alternative (located at 315 W Main St, Avon, https://crumblcookies.com/stores/ct/ctavon)
Taste by Spellbound (located at 220 W Main St, Avon, https://www.tbspellbound.com)
Whole Foods (also located in a nearby plaza at 50 Climax Rd., Avon, https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/avonvillage)
If you have a recommendation for another place to add here, let us know!

No, we take care of this for you! We always have a balloon backdrop behind the table that's utilized for the activities and cake/cupcakes, along with a Happy Birthday sign, and a backdrop that aligns with your selected theme.

Make-and-take activities vary by package. For example, with the Perfectly Pampered package, it's usually bracelets/necklaces, and for any package that has Beauty Bar included, it's bracelets/necklaces plus the birthday child’s choice of lip gloss, sugar scrub for the bath/shower, or lotion. The Tween Pamper Party has its own special make-and-take activity noted in the package. We’ll rock out to some karaoke or freeze dance, and if there’s time, will pull out some other games or activities. If your child does not want to do karaoke or have a dance party, we have other options available. During cake/cupcakes, we play a game focused on the birthday child with prizes as well.

Once we confirm that your requested date and time are available, we’ll need a few pieces of information to prepare your deposit invoice: Your child’s first name, how old they’re turning, which party package you’d like to book, and a good email address for you (if you reached out via social media). We’ll send you a $50 deposit invoice via email from our Square account and you can conveniently pay it right online. Once paid, your party is confirmed.
Individual service packages are booked in the same manner but for a reduced deposit of $25.
Your deposit will be subtracted from your total on the day of your party/service.

As the host, you can arrive up to 10 minutes early. Your guests can be dropped off at the party start time. If you select a 10 am party, please note that you’re the first party of the day, and the store opens at 10 am (for guest’s reference).

Outside of the birthday child's family, the guest’s parents or guardians are encouraged to drop off. Our space is moderately sized, and there’s lots of activity throughout the party. Also, we’ve seen guests be more comfortable when they don’t feel like they’re being watched. Plus, it’s a nice break for the parents to take for themselves. We realize there are times when this isn’t possible, for example with our 4- or 5-year-old parties. In these cases, we ask the number of adults to be limited to one per child. We understand that our clients come from all distances. We’re conveniently located near many stores and restaurants and are even located walking distance from Dom’s (in the plaza next door), a restaurant that has coffee, drinks, lunch, ice cream and more. Several of our kiddo’s parents pop over there during our parties.
We understand that as the children get older, you may wish to drop them ALL off for the party – especially if they’ve been to POSH several times already. If there won’t be ANY parents present, please let us know ahead of time so we can get paperwork completed for each child (like we use for Kid’s Night Out events). Otherwise, at least one parent/guardian of the birthday child is required to be present.

We’ll reach out to you via email in the early part of the week of your party - usually Monday - to finalize details. We’ll request your final headcount, confirm your party package and theme choice, review any additional items (e.g., Add-Ons, etc.), and provide some helpful information for the day of your party.
-
Yes, we only host one party at a time so you have the whole place to yourselves - something that both parents and kiddos love about POSH. The children are also only sharing a bathroom with their friends while they’re here - no strangers. And as one of our attendees pointed out one day - she loves this place because you don’t lose your friends.

We do not take walk-ins. All parties and individual services require appointments. We are currently only open during scheduled parties and appointments. As we continue to grow as a business and are able to provide services more often, we’re hoping to be able to start taking walk-ins. We’ll keep you posted!
